A few days after the publication of the conditions and details for its ICO, the BitTorrent Foundation posted details of the airdrop for TRON (TRX) tokens holders.
The first of seven coin distributions will be 10,890,000,000 BitTorrent (BTT) and will begin on February 11, 2019 in a 1: 1 ratio, based on the TRON blockchain image of block number 6,600,000.
It is also reported that longtime TRX holders will be rewarded for an additional 99,990,000 BTT during online and offline events. Here, no details are specified and it can be assumed that this airdrop is called BitTorrent Protocol Airdrop and was originally included in the general distribution of tokens .
In any case, the long-time holders of TRX will receive far more coins than will be displayed as part of the public sale of tokens.
BTT token distribution schedule for 6 years :
- February 11, 2019, the first distribution – 10,890,000,000 BTT;
- from March 11, 2019 to February 11, 2020, 990 million BTT will be distributed each month ;
- From March 11, 2020 to February 11, 2021, 1,072,500,000 BTT will be distributed each month ;
- From March 11, 2021 to February 11, 2022, 1,155,000,000 BTT will be distributed each month ;
- From March 11, 2022 to February 11, 2023, 1,237,500,000 BTT will be distributed each month ;
- From March 11, 2023 to February 11, 2024, 1,320,000,000 BTT will be distributed each month ;
- From March 11, 2024 to February 11, 2025, 1,402,500,000 BTT will be distributed each month .
The total number of BTT distributed during the airdrop will be 10.1% or 9,999,000,000,000 tokens, but the BitTorrent Foundation still reserves the right to change these conditions at any time and at its discretion, which can drastically change the picture.
The list of exchanges supporting this airdrop is limited only to Binance .
