Arthur Hayes, BitMEX Crypto Exchange CEO, believes that the new Libra crypto project from Facebook could destroy central and commercial banks.

In a conversation with representatives of Bloomberg, Arthur Hayes said that after Libra presents its token, the situation in the financial world will change – according to Hayes, Libra has the potential to destroy traditional banking institutions.

In addition, Hayes commented on the recent rise in Bitcoin. He believes that the increase in value was caused by the activity of retail investors who are returning to the market, noticing the first signs of a bullish movement. He also believes that investors who are investing in Bitcoin now may either think that within a decade the value of BTC will drop to zero, or rise to an incredible level. Nevertheless, many experts believe that the rise in the price of Bitcoin is associated with the activity of institutional investors and the announcement of Libra.

Heys also told that BitMEX is preparing to present the first zero-coupon BTC-bond. This tool will allow investors to profit from investments in the largest, most stable companies in the crypto-industry.
