Bitmain, a Chinese cryptocurrency mining equipment manufacturer, is launching the world's largest cryptocurrency mining farm in Rockdale, Texas.
According to reports from Bitmain, work on the farm started in 2018. Initially, the farm’s capacity will be 25 MW, in the future it is planned to increase the figure to 50 MW, and then to 300 MW, which will achieve the status of the largest and most powerful BTC mining enterprise in the world.
John King, the mayor of Rockdale, is positive about the partnership with Bitmain and the company's plans. In addition, he noted that the company will be engaged in the development of other industrial projects in Texas.
Representatives of the Chinese company drew attention to the fact that when creating the farm, the team used the technologies that were registered in the latest patent. It should be noted that for Bitmain this American project will be the third – the United States is a priority for the company, if we talk about foreign development.
The construction of the new enterprise was supported by DMG, which in the future will provide Bitmain with management assistance. Moreover, with the expansion of the farm, representatives of the Texas Labor Commission will be involved in the process; the Chinese company plans to cooperate with local suppliers.
