Bithump exchange falls victim to a hacker attack: the market reaction is muffled

On Saturday, March 30, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb suspended its withdrawal and deposit services. The platform monitoring system has detected anomalous cryptocurrency withdrawal actions.
Representatives of the exchange apologized to customers for the delay in the service, and also assured that all assets on the exchange are safe.
Dovey Van, a partner at Primitive Ventures, noticed strange transfers from Bithumb’s wallets. More than 3 million EOS coins (worth about $ 12.6 million) left the purse owned by the exchange:
Bithumb hacked at storage level in EOS !!! Over 3 million EOS has been transferred. The details will be communicated and confirmed by the firm that conducts the Bithumb audit.
Later, Dove Wang added that the theft occurred after hackers took possession of the Bithumb secret key on the EOS blockchain. In addition, there was a list of exchanges where the stolen coins were transferred. It includes Huobi, KuCoin, EXMO and others.
Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency market seems to have closed its eyes to the news, as all major coins are traded in green since Monday morning.
And what do you think about this?
