Mark Kuban, a big businessman and owner of the Dallas Mavericks professional basketball team, talked on Kitko News about the potential of gold and bitcoin.
The billionaire emphasized that he personally prefers to invest in Bitcoin (BTC) , which in many respects is similar to the main precious metal.
Kuban said :
The value of [gold and bitcoin] is based on supply and demand. And the good news about bitcoin is a limited offer.
The main advantage of BTC over the precious metal is the fact that the supply of cryptocurrency will ultimately be limited by a certain mining limit. This factor contributes to maintaining high interest in bitcoin from a variety of investors.
Gold, like Bitcoin, provides capital protection, but in the future BTC will be able to push precious metals into the background due to the rapid development of innovative industries, said Kuban.
A similar point of view in the middle of last year was expressed by one of the founders of Apple, Steve Wozniak. He declaring that only “bitcoin” can be called “digital gold”. According to the businessman, BTC is the only digital currency that remains “clean.”
