The Binance Jersey cryptocurrency account on Twitter was hacked by an unknown hacker who claimed to control the binance.je domain. At the same time, he emphasized that he was a researcher and did not intend to create a large-scale phishing scheme from which millions could suffer.

Binance representatives told BlockchainJournal that the user’s funds are safe and that an investigation is underway.

Twitter hacker entries are currently unavailable.

Recall that in May Binance was hacked, as a result of which 7,000 BTC were stolen. According to various sources, the attackers laundered them through the Chipmixer bitcoin mixer and other trading platforms, including Bitmex, Yobit, KuCoin and Huobi.

More recently, it became known that in July, hacker Bnatov Plato contacted Binance, claiming that he knew the names of those who hacked the exchange, and the person who helped them from the inside. He also said that he used the backdoor in security systems and received thousands of KYC-documents of users. Plato demanded 300 BTC for the drain of information, but the negotiations failed.
