Representatives of Cielo, a large payment company in Brazil, reported support for Bitcoin and crypto payments.

It is known that now residents of Brazil will be able to make payments in cryptocurrency via terminals from Cielo, for operations, they will need to use QR codes. The Cielo terminal will generate a QR code for the payment, which the user will need to scan using a smartphone and, in fact, make a payment. For successful cooperation with Cielo, users need to create an account on one of the sites that are partners of the company – Uzzo or Criptohub.

Paulo Caffarelli, president of Cielo, noted that the crypto payment initiative is supported by Bradesco and Banco do Brasil. Moreover, in October, the company can realize the ability to make crypto payments without terminals – instead, users will use the application from Cielo.

Not so long ago, it became known that the Brazilian commercial bank Banco Inter also plans to launch a crypto-payment system, however, it does not involve user interaction with the terminals. Access to the service will be possible through a mobile application and, according to reports, users do not have to have an account with Banco Inter.
