US traders are the main source of traffic for the largest cryptocurrency exchanges , a study by The Block portal found out.
According to the online publication, 24.5% of the total traffic sent to cryptobirds comes from the United States. Japan ranked second with 10%, South Korea closed the top three (about 6.5%). The top five included Indonesia and India.

However, the data are not completely representative, because in some countries, such as China, due to restrictions and bans on crypto-trading, traders use VPNs, distorting the localization of the IP address, noted The Block.
Nevertheless, a comparison of the traffic of each country with its population made it possible to determine the regions in which cryptocurrencies are of the greatest interest. The leader was North America. Europe and Oceania, which included Australia and New Zealand, lagged far behind. But these regions are just as far ahead of Asia and South Africa.

The Block also found a direct dependence of interest in cryptocurrency on GDP per capita. The data showed that poorer countries do not trade cryptocurrencies to the same extent as rich ones.
Recall that according to a previously conducted study of the company DataLight, the number of visits to the crypto-burg was also led by residents of the United States, followed by residents of Japan and South Korea. But then the UK and Russia were in the top five, not Indonesia and India, like in The Block.
