The Zcash project team presented the Zepio desktop wallet. In Zepio, private ZEC transactions are set by default. The development is expected to bring even more users to the ZEC who wish to remain anonymous and remain secure.
Zepio Wallet is available to macOS, Linux and Windows users – with the help of the new product, Zcash holders can store their crypto funds, as well as make transactions, the details of which (sender's address, recipient of funds, amount transferred) are hidden. Zepio is an open source product, the wallet is available not only in the light mode, but it also supports the dark one.
Recall that previously Zcash users had to use special z-addresses in order to conduct an anonymous transaction. In addition, it should be noted that previously Zcash private transactions were quite expensive for ZEC users. Thanks to the update of the protocol, which was called Sapling, the amount was significantly reduced.
Last month, the share of completely anonymous transactions in the total volume was 1%. Fortunately, Zepio solves these problems – it is expected that the new wallet will make life easier for many Zcash coin holders. Against the background of this news, the ZEC rate has increased by more than 10%, currently the cryptocurrency is trading at around $ 94.
