Representatives of eBay have denied the information that their trading platform will soon support payments involving cryptocurrencies.
A few days ago, the network began to discuss the topic of the possible adoption of cryptocurrency online trading platform eBay. Rumors caused photos of advertising banners that were able to capture at the conference Consensus 2019. However, representatives of eBay were quick to refute the information. Thus, a spokesman for the company said that cryptocurrency is not accepted on the eBay platform as a means of payment – the digital currency is not even an element of the company's financial strategy.
The company explained that there were posters at the conference, but they affect the entire range of products on the eBay platform, which is associated with virtual currencies. For example, we can talk about equipment that is used for mining.
In addition, in an interview with Bloomberg representatives, rumors about the launch of spot trading with BTC and LTC were denied by TD Ameritrade, which operates about $ 1.3 trillion. Her representative said that only a simulator was offered to users, with the help of which users could test their trading strategies, the company does not yet offer anything real from this area.
