Residents of 37 cities in Argentina were able to pay Bitcoin in public transport. This was made possible thanks to the collaboration platform for replenishment transport card Alto Viaje and kriptovalyutnoy Exchange Bitex, reports Bitcoinist .
Payment of travel on the subway and buses is made by the SUBE national contactless card, which can be recharged both through PayPal and with the help of bitcoin payments.
SUBE cards can be recharged at all substations, in national lotteries, and also at some kiosks with the help of automatic terminals.
According to representatives of Alto Viaje, soon the platform will also be able to process payments through the local payment operator RapiPago.
In addition, the company plans to provide the population with the opportunity to pay for the cryptocurrency utilities and taxes.
Recall that in May 2018, the Argentine bank Banco Masventas signed an agreement with the Bitex exchange for making cross-border transfers using Bitcoin .
