According to the State of the dApps service, 17.2% of the total number of decentralized applications did not show activity over the past year. They are assigned the status of "abandoned".

December 2018 a good month WAS for the development of #dapps (Decentralized applications). We received 179 new DApp submissions, an all time high! https://t.co/EF9GurjFBd (1/3) pic.twitter.com/M2Mb3R5wag

On the service site, you can see that Ethereum has much more dApps on the platform than on EOS (2254 and 122, respectively). However, the number of active users of applications on EOS is three times more than on the time-tested Ethereum.

In the next screenshot, you can see that the status of "valid" is assigned only 1300 dApps. The catalog contains 2432 decentralized applications. Of these, 394 are abandoned.

Nevertheless, representatives of the platform say that there is progress in developing new applications. So, in December, the service received a record 179 applications for the inclusion of dApps in the catalog.

Earlier, cyber security experts from PeckShield reported that from July to November last year, hackers made 27 attacks on dApps in the EOS ecosystem, having obtained 400,000 coins of this cryptocurrency.
