10.5 million BTC coins have not moved during the last year

60% of all currently issued BTC, that is, 10.5 million coins, remained in the wallets of their holders over the past year.
Taking into account these data, we can say that there were 7 million BTC-coins in circulation, probably, with the exception of the new 657 thousand BTC-coins, which were mined by miners during the year. On the graph below you can see that since January 2012, 2.4 million BTC-coins have not circulated anywhere – it is assumed that they can already be considered forever out of circulation.
Meanwhile, about 5 million BTC-coins have remained motionless for the past three years. Thus, the actual amount of BTC coins available for sale may be significantly lower than some representatives of the crypto community and analysts are inclined to believe.
Over the past 24 hours, the volume of transactions with the flagship cryptocurrency exceeded 924 thousand BTC (about $ 7 billion). Altcoins, which tend to perform the function of a means of payment, lag far behind Bitcoin. So, Bitcoin Cash has a figure of $ 1.6 billion, Ethereum has $ 775 million, Litecoin has $ 517 million. For comparison, the MasterCard payment system has an average amount of confirmed transactions per day at $ 11 billion, Bitcoin set a maximum of $ 17 billion.
