The Hong Kong division of Mirae Asset Securities completed the issuance of tokenized notes on Solana on October 28, 2026. The private offering targeted accredited professional investors in the region.
The instruments are six-month floating-rate notes denominated in United States dollars. The issuance took place under the firm’s guaranteed 3 billion dollar structured note program.
Singapore-based digital market infrastructure provider Marketnode acted as the authorized distributor. Technical support for the blockchain integration was provided by the Switzerland-based Solana Foundation.
In contrast to a previous test in January 2026 that relied on external vendors, Mirae used its own proprietary tokenization stack. The internal platform managed issuance, payment flows, and corporate lifecycle events.
Issuance architecture for professional investors
The transaction was executed under private placement rules governed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance. The product did not require public retail registration with the local regulatory commission.
Mirae Asset Securities did not publish the exact amount raised or the benchmark margin for the floating rate. The stated figure represents the global ceiling approved for the broader structured debt program.
The workflow integrated the South Korean parent group, its Hong Kong subsidiary, and a Singapore distribution pipeline. The underlying securities records and transactions settled natively on the public Solana blockchain.
Digital asset strategy across group subsidiaries
This issuance expands the group’s broader corporate digital strategy. In July 2026, affiliate Mirae Asset Consulting completed the controlling stake in Korbit, a South Korean trading exchange later rebranded as Digital X.
The Hong Kong securities subsidiary also secured a regulatory retail license for virtual assets in April 2026. It subsequently launched its MAPS mobile platform to combine conventional products and digital investments.
Mirae Asset Financial Group operates across brokerage, commercial insurance, investment banking, and capital management. The Solana transaction marks the first deployment of its internal tokenization system by an offshore division.
Institutional asset footprint and distribution scope
The group’s asset management arm oversees exchange products through the Global X and TIGER divisions. Its global exchange-traded fund business managed 275 billion dollars in total assets as of June 2026.
Official company filings rank the asset manager as the twelfth-largest ETF provider in the world. Its investment structures support institutional clients across North American, European, and Asian markets.
Mirae indicated the mechanism could serve as a distribution model for additional structured products. It remains to be determined whether the group will extend tokenized offerings to retail investors through its licensed mobile platform.
