United States spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $216.7 million in net inflows on Monday, August 31, 2026. According to market data published by SoSoValue tracking ETF assets, this positive movement reversed the $201.8 million in net capital withdrawals observed on the preceding Friday.
Institutional capital allocations remained heavily concentrated within a single leading asset manager. This renewed accumulation demonstrates how BlackRock aggressive bitcoin purchases absorbed the vast majority of fresh liquidity entering regulated US fund products during the start of the trading week.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) dominated the category rebound by securing $205.9 million in inflows, representing approximately 95% of the total daily volume. Data from Farside Investors flow updates confirmed that IBIT outpaced all competing institutional investment vehicles during the Monday trading session.
Additional fund issuers posted modest positive balances. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) registered $6.9 million, Bitwise’s BITB logged $4.3 million, and Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust attracted $3.6 million in fresh institutional commitments during the same active market window.
Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust gathered $9.4 million in allocations from institutional participants. Conversely, VanEck’s Bitcoin ETF (HODL) was the sole vehicle to record redemptions, posting $13.4 million in net outflows, while all remaining spot Bitcoin funds reported neutral flow activity.
Market price action and previous institutional streaks
The recovery in fund inflows coincided with upward spot market momentum. According to pricing metrics provided by CoinGecko spot bitcoin data, Bitcoin traded near $78,700 per unit, marking a 1.5% price advance over the preceding 24-hour measurement period in global trading.
Friday’s outflows had previously halted a nine-session growth streak that accumulated more than $3 billion in net institutional capital across US exchange-traded products, highlighting the ongoing shifts in institutional liquidity deployment patterns across spot crypto markets.
These capital movements occur alongside expanding corporate and institutional governance initiatives. In this broader framework, the Strategy and BlackRock initiative continues to build out essential security and custody frameworks supporting long-term institutional digital asset infrastructure and balance sheet integration.
Continued positive momentum across altcoin funds
Spot Ether funds sustained uninterrupted buying interest on Monday, attracting $87.7 million in fresh capital. This performance marked their 11th consecutive positive session in US trading, demonstrating sustained institutional demand for regulated exposure to the second-largest digital asset by capitalization.
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) captured the largest market share with $59.9 million. Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust added $13.5 million, while Fidelity’s Ethereum Fund secured $9.3 million in new capital during the same Monday trading session.
Spot XRP exchange-traded products extended their positive performance run to 10 consecutive sessions, recording $5.64 million in net daily inflows. The asset class has maintained uninterrupted daily capital inflows during every US trading session since August 18 without interruption.
Similarly, Solana investment funds achieved their 10th consecutive positive day. However, capital inflows moderated significantly to $925,010 on Monday, down from $18.1 million recorded on Friday, representing the lowest daily inflow level recorded during the vehicle’s active growth cycle.
