Avalanche NFTs Are Now Available on Shopify

Avalanche NFTs have landed on e-commerce giant Shopify as merchants can now design, mint, and sell Avalanche-based non-fungible tokens directly from their stores.

According to the announcement made on Thursday, January 5^th, Shopify merchants can diversify their store offerings through NFTs through the Venly merchant app. Customers can buy NFTs just like they buy other stuff.

Shopify Merchants Will Create NFTs

With this expansion of Shopify’s NFT integration, Avalanche NFTs are now available to Shopify merchants who can now design and mint NFTs with minimal technical knowledge by using the newly-launched Venly app. NFTs created by merchants will be automatically turned into products and available for trade in the store.

The Venly integration will also simplify the buying experience for Shopify users. There will be no need of having a pre-existing digital wallet as many integrations like Coinbase Commerce are available “to provide buyers the option to purchase NFTs with crypto.”

After the purchase of an NFT from Shopify, buyers will get an email with a link to a new wallet that will contain the NFT and can be sent to any other wallet.

The e-commerce giant is not new to NFTs. It launched its first NFT integration in July 2021, allowing merchants to sell NFTs directly from their stores, and partnered with NBA’s Chicago Bulls to launch an NFT collection.

Shopify has recently onboarded the Venly app to its app store to extend its NFTs integration. Christina Lomazzo, Blockchain Ecosystem Lead at Shopify, commented:
