The TRON network processed $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the second quarter of 2026. Data published alongside the TRON DAO quarterly research report shows that operational activity maintained rapid momentum across global settlement channels.
On-chain Tether supply reached $87.9 billion at the end of June 2026, outpacing Ethereum levels according to research released by Messari. Total stablecoin market capitalization on the network expanded by 4.1% to a record $89.2 billion. Within this segment, USDT maintained a dominant 98.5% market share.
Average daily transfer volume climbed 4.3% to $22.8 billion during the three-month period. Meanwhile, stablecoin velocity held steady at 0.26 for the fifth consecutive quarter.
This steady velocity indicates consistent utilization for real-world transactions rather than speculative trading. The network maintains core global liquidity dynamics focused primarily on settlement efficiency. Network usage metrics reached new milestones, averaging 11.8 million daily transactions between April and June 2026, representing an 8.7% quarter-over-quarter increase.
Daily active addresses rose 11.7% to 3.6 million. On June 15, 2026, the blockchain set a single-day record by clearing 14.6 million total transactions.
Divergence in Decentralized Finance Activity
In contrast to record payment settlements, TRON’s decentralized finance economy contracted. Total value locked across network DeFi protocols fell 1.9% during the second quarter, closing at $4.4 billion. JustLend, the largest lending protocol on the network, saw its deposited capital decline by 10.5%, reducing its individual total value locked to $2.9 billion.
This reduction shrank JustLend’s share of TRON’s total protocol TVL from 72.9% down to 66.5% by the end of the second quarter. Average daily trading volume across decentralized exchanges operating on TRON fell 21.7% to $49.3 million throughout the quarter.
TRON’s stablecoin footprint continued to expand in Q2.
Stablecoin market cap reached a record $89.2B, while the network processed $2.1T in USDT transfers during the quarter and ended Q2 as the largest host chain for circulating USDT.

This contraction marked the fourth straight quarterly decline in DEX volume on the network, mirroring broader market observations shared via official TRON DAO statements regarding trading trends. Industry analytical data indicates that reduced DEX activity aligns with a broader cooldown in spot trading rather than network-specific infrastructure issues.
Network Fee Revenues and TRX Token Performance
Departing from the DeFi cooldown, total network fees collected by TRON surged 15.9% in Q2 2026, reaching $699.4 million in revenue. This revenue expansion represents the first quarterly increase since an August 2025 governance proposal reduced energy unit pricing across smart contract executions.
Despite high transaction volume and growing fee revenues, TRX closed the second quarter near $0.32, remaining flat following an 11.6% price gain in Q1.
As of August 11, 2026, TRX trades around $0.33. The token remains approximately 23% below its historical peak price. The divergence between expanding stablecoin settlement demand and stagnant token pricing highlights the operational separation between network utility and asset valuation.
Future network performance will be further detailed when third-quarter operational data is released in the official report scheduled for November 2026.
