Gate.io opened Gate Fun, a no code token launcher inside its new Layer-2 network, Gate Layer, aiming to let projects create and trade tokens faster and cheaper. GT is set as the only gas token, linking a 5,700 TPS, one-second block network to new GT rules that raise its use and cut its supply for developers, issuers, and cost-focused traders.

Gate Layer is an OP-Stack rollup that also relies on GateChain. The launch docs record 5,700 TPS, one-second blocks, and full EVM support, with the chain quoting about thirty USD to move one million transfers. Ethereum dApps can redeploy without new code, easing migration.

Gate Fun runs on this chain and issues tokens through a point-and-click screen. GT now serves as the sole gas token, with part of every fee burned under EIP-1559, and Gate.io burning more GT each quarter based on its own revenue. Over sixty percent of the first GT supply has already burned. Analysts note that on-chain activity now feeds direct demand for GT, yet price besides liquidity still rest on real adoption.

    Gate Fun’s Ripple Effect

Gate Fun is designed to streamline adoption by removing coding requirements, which makes it easier for projects to launch and list assets directly on Gate Layer. This lowered barrier to entry could significantly increase participation, encouraging developers who might otherwise be deterred by technical hurdles. The result is a broader flow of new assets that could boost user engagement and expand Gate.io’s ecosystem.

On the liquidity side, the platform ties activity directly to GateToken (GT). Since all fees must be paid in GT and quarterly burns remain in place, token demand will naturally track usage. In other words, the more Gate Fun gets used, the greater the transactional pull for GT, aligning its value with both platform activity and actual trading volumes rather than pure speculation.

However, the model is not without risks. The ease of creating tokens also opens the door to scams or memecoin-driven surges that may add volatility, especially across thinner trading pairs. Gate Fun mirrors earlier launchpads in concept but is reinforced by integration with Perp, the perpetual futures product, and Meme Go, the memecoin tracker. Together, these tools aim to keep liquidity and community traffic circulating within Gate.io’s own ecosystem.

Watch Gate Layer daily traffic or GT spent through Gate Fun, Perp and Meme Go — those numbers will show if the tech and tokenomics turn into steady use.
