The Russian blockchain-company Waves Platform has restarted the official website of the project and announced a gradual transition to the concept of Web3.0.

On the 30th birthday of the World Wide Web, #Waves is celebrating the launch of # Web3.0 ! It is reflected on our updated website. Check our latest blogpost to find out more! $ WAVES # web30 https://t.co/oFNXvGCO3R

    – Waves Platform (@wavesplatform) 12 March, 2019 r.

“Web3.0 – a concept that emerged at the end of the last century, finally takes shape in the first real products, combining many different technologies (Big Data, artificial intelligence, Internet of things) on a decentralized basis. To start the revolution, it is extremely important to start creating Web3.0 products and working corporate applications , ”explains the founder and head of the Waves Platform, Sasha Ivanov.

According to him, the scheduled update of the RIDE smart contract language used by Waves in June will provide a new approach to decentralized computing and business logic. At the same time, the Waves-NG protocol is designed to maximize blockchain performance.

“The gateway to the Web3.0 world will be our Waves Keeper. Storing private keys on the user's side without the need to transfer personal data to third parties is a key element of this concept. That’s what Keeper’s task is , ”added Ivanov.

In addition, the developers are planning to create a voting platform, a tokenized social network, and also to continue work on the development of the Vostok corporate blockchain platform.

In conclusion, Sasha Ivanov emphasized that the Waves Platform intends to become “one of Google and Facebook” of the future Internet, in which the blockchain is “only part of the big picture.”

Recall that last week the Waves Platform stubbed the project site . Instead of the usual information, the text “We begin to change everything” was displayed on the main page.
