Waves CEO and Founder Alexander Ivanov sold his stake in the Vostok project to GHP Group senior partner Mark Garber. Details of the transaction were not disclosed, but both parties have already confirmed the fact of sale, according to Gazeta.ru.
According to Ivanov, the reason for his decision was the desire to concentrate on the development of the main platform Waves.
I decided to focus on the international expansion of the $ Waves ecosystem, including its enterprise branch. To this end I have sold Vostok project. The roadmap will stay tuned. https://t.co/sa9XblNn4A

“I would like to focus on the international development of the Waves Platform. The tasks of building a decentralized Internet of the new generation based on the blockchain, which we implement at Waves, require my one hundred percent concentration, ”he said.
In particular, this year the Waves developers plan to provide users with the ability to create sidechains and continue the development of Web3 services. In addition, the team intends to open an office in Berlin.
It is worth noting that Mark Garber was one of the early investors of Vostok. According to him, GHP Group will retain the project development team and intends to implement its solutions in its own and partner assets.
“GHP Group sees the great potential of the Vostok project and the possibilities of integration into current assets. The key to the success of the project will be the preservation of the Vostok development team, with which we will implement digitalization solutions in our mining, production and logistics projects, as well as in the projects of our partners, ”said Garber.
Recall that in June Vostok launched the main blockchain platform network for large corporations and government agencies.
In addition, in September 2018, Rostec State Corporation and Vostok signed an agreement on the use of the blockchain for data exchange between state and municipal institutions, as well as residents of the country.
Later, in February of this year, the National Information Technology Center, part of Rostec, signed an agreement with Vostok, under which municipal customers throughout Russia will have access to solutions developed by the project.
