Vostok announces the development of an international logistics blockchain platform

The Vostok project is developing an international logistics blockchain platform for the efficient transportation of goods, for the development of which a consortium of key players in the logistics market will be created. The company representative told CNews about this.

It is expected that the new Vostok Trade platform will automate workflow, ensure verification and immutability of data, increase the level of traceability of goods and the reliability of data on delivery conditions.

In addition, the creation of its own blockchain platform in the logistics sector is potentially designed to reduce the dependence of the Russian segment of this market on foreign solutions.

“Vostok sees the creation of a single platform based on distributed registry technology as the most promising direction for the development of the transport and logistics industry, which can lead to an improvement in the position of the Russian Federation in the global ranking of the effectiveness of logistics infrastructure,” said Oksana Klimenko, head of the Vostok R&D laboratory.

The company estimates that the implementation of the blockchain will save the logistics industry about $ 38 billion, and the potential revenue from using distributed registry technology is $ 500 billion.

It should be noted that the transport and logistics industry is one of the priorities for the implementation of blockchain technologies in the framework of the national program “Digital Economy”.

Recall that in winter Vostok signed an agreement with the National Informatization Center, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, due to which state and municipal customers all over Russia gained access to the blockchain solutions of the company.

In addition, in the summer, Vostok launched the main network of blockchain platforms for large corporations and government agencies.

Note in July, Waves founder Alexander Ivanov sold Vostok to the GHP Group.
