    The speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, demanded that the adoption of bills on the use of digital technologies in the financial sector be accelerated. According to her, the relevant initiatives for almost a year lie in the State Duma "with virtually no movement." This writes Tass.

    Matvienko instructed Dmitry Mezentsev, head of the upper house economic policy committee, to find out what is holding back the adoption of draft laws, since the legal vacuum in this area leads to the proliferation of gray schemes and outflow of investments.

    “If the bills are substandard, tell us, we will refine them. It would be a shame to fail the digital breakthrough due to paperwork and excessive bureaucracy, ”she said.

    This is a package of bills regulating the circulation of digital assets, as well as raising funds through investment platforms.

    Over the next three years, the Russian parliament is expected to consider more than 60 bills in the field of the digital economy, 20 of them this year.
