The security tokens platform tZERO announced plans to launch a mobile application for buying and selling bitcoin. In the future, the application may also begin to support the broadcast, writes CoinDesk .
According to Saum Nursalehi, the CEO of tZERO, applications for iOS and Android devices should be launched in June. They are developed by Bitsy, a cryptocurrency start-up that is included in the portfolio of the Overstock division of Medici Ventures.
“This is one of the reasons why we acquired Bitsy – to speed up the entry of our mobile application to the market. They already have a crypto-trading application in beta mode, mainly for Bitcoin, they have created a wallet and key recovery mechanism, and all this will become the foundation for the tZERO mobile application. They also work on things like biometric authentication, ”said Nursalehi.
According to him, the application will allow you to store cryptocurrency without the need to trust third parties and through the API will be connected to the network of exchanges. The implementation of this plan will occur through partner tZERO, the institutional trading platform SFox.
In the future, the head of tZERO added, the platform also intends to create its own cryptocurrency storage to meet the demand from users.
Recall that the public beta testing of Bitsy wallet started in November 2018. With his help, the Overstock retailer plans to launch Bitcoin sales on its website.
Platform for trading security tokens tZERO began work in January of this year. Saum Nursalehi added that at the moment the company is also in the process of integrating a third-party platform, which will allow placing security-tokens issued to it on tZERO. What kind of platform in question, however, he refused to talk.
