Judging by the comments on the tweet, there are many people who prefer only the first cryptocurrency to a huge variety of altcoins. Some users clearly favored the company's decision:

According to information on the Trezor website, currently the wallet supports 1,080 different cryptocurrencies and tokens.
Also last week, SatoshiLabs added the ability to create backup phrases for Trezor wallets using Shamir’s secret sharing scheme . The method allows you to split a backup copy of the passphrase into several elements, some of which will be sufficient to restore access to the wallet. Thus, the user can reduce the risk of loss or theft of the passphrase, while not losing access to the wallet if one of the elements is lost.
Recall recently competitor Trezor, the French manufacturer of hardware wallets Ledger, added support for ERC-20 standard tokens .
