The U.S. Army is looking for contractors to create a cloud-based cryptocurrency transaction tracking service. This is stated in the request of the Army Contracted Command (ACC) in New Jersey.
According to the document, the service is intended for use by the US Army Criminal Investigation Service (USACIDC) in the fight against fraud, extortion and money laundering.
The contractor must identify the sources of transactions and conduct multicurrency analysis from bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies.
Other essential features include real-time transaction tracking , including the identification of the services that were used to complete the transaction and the repeating patterns.
Recall that the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has been tracking cryptocurrency transactions since 2015 using Chainalysis software.
