The Jamaican Stock Exchange (JSE) in partnership with the Canadian fintech-based company Blockstation will provide customers with the opportunity to trade cryptocurrency and security tokens. It is reported by CoinDesk .
Initially, trades will be launched in test mode. According to JSE, users will be able to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum in “regulated and secure” conditions.
The launch will involve broker-dealer companies, which will have to attract retail investors and assist them in conducting operations with cryptocurrency after verification.
The date of commencement of trading is not yet called.
Recall that in January, JSE added security tokens to the listing and conducted a test launch of cryptocurrency trading in conjunction with market makers and the Central Settlement Depository of Jamaica.
