The head of ConsenSys predicted the death of liberal democracy, the re-election of Donald Trump and the transformation of Facebook

Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys startup CEO Joseph Lubin made several high-profile predictions during his speech at the Ethereal Summit conference in Brooklyn, New York. According to him, by 2047 all assets will be token-free, the Internet will be completely decentralized, and separate networks will be formed around various key interests, by analogy with national states. This is stated in the CoinDesk report.

We note Lubin is confident that Donald Trump will be re-elected as US President in 2020, the decline of American civilization over the next four years, the growth of radical sentiments in society and the increase in hate crimes.

It is noteworthy that, according to the head of ConsenSys, one of the main roles in this decline is played by the social network Facebook, which supposedly feeds global radicalism. Lubin is convinced that Facebook should be transformed into the Facebook Media news feed and a decentralized social network in which all startups have equal rights.

Ethereum's co-founder believes that by 2047 liberal democracy will be dying, but more stable and valuable journalism will be revived – at the expense of platforms such as Civil and others. He stressed that the new era is characterized by the emergence of an ethics of truth and an ethics of recognizing the nature of facts, since now anathema is allegedly imposed on critical thinking and a balance of viewpoints.

The current Internet giants, said Lubin, will adopt decentralized ethics and become distributed platforms. This will allow everyone to participate in democratic processes directly, he added.

Earlier, ConsenSys announced a large-scale reorganization and a shift in focus on attracting foreign investment. At the end of last year, the company laid off 13% of its employees, and in early May, it merged ConsenSys Ventures, ConsenSys Labs and Tachyon accelerator into a single venture business unit.

The media also reported that the company intends to raise $ 200 million in the valuation of $ 1 billion, but no official confirmation was received.
