The head of Apple commented on the possibility of creating a digital currency

Apple CEO Tim Cook explained why the company will not release its own digital currency.

“I am convinced that currency and defense should remain in the hands of governments, this is their key mission. We elect representatives to fulfill these responsibilities, and no one elects the company , ”Cook said in an interview with Les Echos.

Earlier, Apple Pay Vice President Jennifer Bailey noted that cryptocurrencies have long-term potential.

Purchasing digital assets through an Apple credit card is currently prohibited .
