A new network of futuristic capsule hotels Monotel plans to launch in Ukraine by the end of the summer, while cryptocurrency is also indicated among the methods of payment for services.
According to Monotel, the project is being created in the image of already working high-tech Asian capsule hotels. There will be an online check-in, digitally controlled capsules, and you can order any services without the need to communicate with the staff.
As expected, the first object will be open to the Independence Day of Ukraine on Shevchenko Boulevard in Kiev. It will be designed for 28 people, including women's and men's bedrooms with 10 beds each and one bedroom for couples with four double capsules.
The facility’s infrastructure also includes separate showers and toilets, lockers for personal items, laundry, ironing room, luggage storage and a 24-hour front desk.
“Among the services are capsules for two, rental of monotransport and calculation of cryptocurrency. The fee for a stop is charged both per day and during your stay … The hotel of the future is distinguished by an intuitive and technological design. The futuristic capsule is self-sufficient, as a personal space. In each – the air supply system, memory-mattress, personal lighting and headphones, “ – said in a message Monotel.
The idea of capsule hotels was born in Japan, offering people at work a short-term vacation. The creation of such hotels, the first of which appeared in Osaka in 1979, was due to the high population density of Japan: with a much smaller area, the number of people living in the Land of the Rising Sun is comparable to the total population of Russia. There are such capsule hotels, as a rule, near major stations and transportation hubs.
In June 2017, the Comics & Capsule Hotel Comicap in Osaka became the first facility of this kind to begin accepting bitcoins.
