Tether will launch the USDT token on the EOS blockchain. Thus, the new asset will join the Tether family of stablecocks on the bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron blockchains. This was stated by Paolo Ardoino, technical director of Bitfinex exchange affiliated with Tether, in a conversation with CCN .

According to Bitfinex, the reason for this decision was the need for Tether to implement native support for USDT on the EOSfinex marketplace.

“Since this is a decentralized exchange, we need Tether-EOS to offer EOS / USDT pairs on the platform.” EOSFinex is one of the most anticipated projects in the EOS community, but we thought it would be good to provide an opportunity to use Tether-EOS before the full launch of EOSFinex , ”said Ardoino.

He noted that the implementation of crosschain compatibility is crucial for the long-term success of the USDT.

Ardoino also shared his plans to launch Tether's Steablokoins on the Liquid Network by the end of this year.
