The developers of the Telegram Open Network reached the final stage before the full-scale launch of the project, introducing software for nodes and a block explorer for a test network.

Initially, the release was planned for September 1, but was postponed for several days for unknown reasons.

According to Dmitry Goroshevsky, TON Labs technical director, about 100 full nodes currently work in the Telegram test network. In addition, several nodes are supported by the startup itself.

“The source code for the full node was released, which can access the testnet, create and validate blocks. The light client was introduced a few months ago . TON Labs will release a public beta of its developer toolkit on Monday , ”Goroshevsky added.

The launch of the Telegram Open Network main network should take place no later than October 31, otherwise, in accordance with the agreement, the project is obligated to return funds to investors.

The TON blockchain will be based on the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm. The new system promises to be productive and multi-level. So, in addition to the main blockchain (Masterchain), TON involves the support of many so-called shardchaynov and workchain.

Recall, according to TON Labs, developing tools for the new network, Telegram Open Network will be compatible with Ethereum .
