Swiss Dukascopy Bank has launched its own cryptocurrency

Switzerland-based Dukascopy Bank launched the eirdrop cryptocurrency Dukascoin on the eve, thus becoming, by its own statement, the first regulated bank that holds an ICO and has its own cryptocurrency.

Initially, Dukascopy planned to launch Dukascoin airdrop tokens today, March 1, but shifted these deadlines one day ahead, since it didn’t want this event to coincide with the launch of the steyblookin from the Japanese Mizuho Bank .

“We learned that Mizuho Bank announced the launch of its token on the same day. We accepted the challenge and moved the date of February 28 – the day before that, "- said in a statement Dukascopy.

Dukascoin are ERC-20 standard tokens and will be initially available as a reward for using the Connect 911 bank’s own messenger and related multi-currency accounts. Earlier, the Swiss bank announced that each user who opened a multicurrency account would receive five tokens, and a referral system was also provided. These tokens can be sold on the domestic bank created by the bank or withdrawn to external wallets.

As noted by the CEO of Dukascopy, Andre Duca, in addition to the security that this domestic market is provided with, one more advantage is that operations carried out on it are regarded as official bank statements recognized by other financial organizations.

Recall that in January, Dukascopy Bank announced a partnership with the Bitstamp exchange, thanks to which its customers were able to carry out operations with Bitcoin.
