Israeli startup GK8 introduced a cold cryptocurrency wallet with the ability to conduct on-chain transactions, reports CoinDesk .
“The wallet is disconnected from other digital devices. It contains an integrated circuit isolated from any interfaces, as well as a unidirectional communication hardware component for sending transactions to a communication device for its transmission to the network, ”emphasized Lior Lamesh, co-founder of the company.
GK8 board members include Eran Tromer, one of Zcash's technical advisers.
The startup has already raised $ 4 million from a number of Israeli investment companies, including the local State Agency for Innovation.
Recall that in July, Civic and BitGo announced the creation of a privacy-oriented cryptocurrency wallet.
