One of the early followers of Bitcoin, and now a supporter of Bitcoin Cash, Roger Ver reported that his resource Bitcoin.com tried to attack government-sponsored hackers.
On Monday, March 4th, the entrepreneur published a screen notification from Google Suite on Reddit , in which he was informed of a potential attack on one of the publication’s email addresses.
Roger Ver did not miss the opportunity to use this case in order to once again advertise his resource, which has been criticized for quite a long time for deliberately misleading users regarding Bitcoin.
“We were probably under the government-sponsored attack because Bitcoin.com creates tools that give the world economic freedom,” the entrepreneur wrote.
In August 2018, Google announced an enhancement to a feature that G Suite account administrators can use to set up special alerts that will notify government hackers attempting to enter one of these accounts.
This feature has existed since 2012 – when Google first introduced this alert system. In 2017, the corporation completely updated and redesigned this system. Alerts about intrusion attempts by any government usually come when they detect phishing schemes, malicious attachments, or brute-force attacks that come from hacker groups associated with government structures.
Recall that in February, Roger Ver joined the list of investors of the Swiss investment blockchain fund Pangea Blockchain Fund . The company raised a total of $ 22 million, but intends to increase the amount of funding to $ 200 million.
