56% of top universities in the US News & World Report rating (50 participants) offer courses on the study of distributed registry technology and / or cryptocurrencies. This is evidenced by the study of the American company Coinbase.

Our Coinbase Report on Higher Education mentions that there are many ways to learn about crypto, including online courses by @udemy , @coursera , @udacity , and https://t.co/VQgAgtQVvK . What are your favorite online resources? Read the full report: https://t.co/IHDSGjw2CV

At the same time, analysts found an increase in the number of students interested in studying these disciplines, and 18% of 735 respondents had already completed the relevant training.

It is noteworthy that blockchain and cryptocurrencies do not teach exclusively to those who study computer science. These special disciplines are present at the financial, economic and legal faculties.

Specialized student clubs focused on distributed ledger technology and digital assets also spur academic interest. As BlockchainJournal previously wrote, such organizations exist in Stanford, MIT, and Berkeley.

Note that Coinbase recognized Cornell University as a leader in the cryptocurrency education sector.

At the end of last year, the media reported that through controlled funds, Harvard, Stanford and MIT invested tens of millions of US dollars in cryptocurrencies. There have also been rumors that Yale has become an investor in the Paradigm hedge fund, created by Coinbase co-founder Fred Ersam.
