Parity has released the first alternative client for Zcash

The leading developer of solutions for the Ethereum ecosystem, Parity Technologies, presented the first alternative client for cryptocurrency Zcash.

A new client called Zebra is designed to improve the security of the Zcash network. So, if the original Zcashd client for some reason will not cope with the work, the blockchain will be supported by nodes on Zebra.

In addition, with the help of an alternative client, developers will be able to identify bugs and eliminate defects in consensus.

“The community benefits, because now more developers are working on major customers, which means that the interests of more people are taken into account. Zcash now boasts a more diversified community that can effectively adapt the experience for both tier-two developers and end-users, ”Fredrik Harrison, CTO Parity Technologies, said.

Note, the responsibility for the continued development and support of the Zebra will be borne by the Zcash Foundation.

Recall that Parity creates the first alternative client for Zcash, it became known in March.
