In the Russian segment of the Facebook social network, fraudulent earnings offers have spread through the Telegram Open Network (TON) platform, which has not yet been launched. It is reported by Kommersant.

The publication of the fraudulent account on Facebook contains a link to a page that copies the popular Russian edition of RBC. It contains an “investigation” with embedded links to another site with a video about the “unique scheme” of earnings and a proposal to register allegedly on the TON platform.

The registration form must include personal data, including email and phone. Users are promised earnings of 10-15 thousand rubles a day.

At the same time, the attackers use the image of the head of Telegram Pavel Durov.

It is reported that similar schemes are distributed in the messenger itself.

In early September, the interest of Russian users in the digital currency of the TON project increased markedly, although later it declined. This is evidenced by Google Trends data for the query "buy Gram".

Earlier, the director of the ANO "Digital Platforms" Arseny Shcheltsin expressed the opinion that the Russians will not be active users of TON.

Recall, Facebook banned the advertising of cryptocurrencies and ICOs at the end of January last year. Social networks also prohibit ads that offer "quick enrichment schemes."

Nevertheless, this is not the first case of using the faces of famous people to promote various fraudulent projects via Facebook.

Attackers have also repeatedly created fake sites aimed at those who want to invest in TON.
