NSD in the new report called the main problems of blockchain

The Russian National Settlement Depository (NSD) published a report on the use of blockchain technologies in Russia and in the world, as well as on further ways of its implementation.

The document says that the main problems of blockchain systems remain insufficient security and the complexity of the interaction of various blockchain platforms. Separately, researchers identified the problem of performance and scalability.

NSD notes that the issue of standardizing requirements for working with such sites is “critically important for implementing solutions based on distributed registries.”

The report also touched on the topic of tokenization of funds. NSD classified the various tokens by risk, assigning the lowest score to the digital currencies of central banks. At the same time, NSD considers the initiative of the People’s Bank of China to be the most successful example of such a currency .

“The most cost-effective is the transfer to the blockchain of the entire set of business processes associated with a particular type of asset or service, the inclusion of tokenized funds in the perimeter of the blockchain, as well as the adaptation of the financial infrastructure to work with new types of assets using distributed ledger technology, ” concluded analysts.

Recall that in May it became known that NSD will launch a blockchain platform for security tokens in Switzerland.
