A spokesman for the DPRK National Coordinating Committee on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism called the report of the UN Security Council on cyber attacks by North Korea fraud. It is reported by The Korea Central News Agency .

"The United States and other hostile forces are spreading rumors that we illegally seized the $ 2 billion needed to develop weapons of mass destruction programs through cyber attacks ," the report said.

The DPRK also noted that the data in the report were presented “without any scientific justification”, and the accusations against North Korea were called an example of the manipulations that were inherent in Nazi Germany.

"This is nothing but a vile game aimed at tarnishing the image of our country and finding an excuse for sanctions and a campaign of pressure against the DPRK."

Recall that the report of the UN Security Council states that the DPRK stole about $ 2 billion through cyber attacks on cryptocurrency exchanges and banks to further finance programs to create weapons of mass destruction.

In March, the UN Security Council already reported that North Korea organized attacks on large cryptocurrency exchanges in order to acquire foreign currency and thus mitigate the effects of international economic sanctions.
