
Kakao conglomerate is going to add cryptocurrency support to the popular KakaoTalk messenger. Reports about it CCN with reference to the local portal fnnews.
The decision of Kakao’s management to add support for cryptocurrency to the instant messenger was made after Samsung integrated storage for digital assets into the Galaxy S10 devices.
Industry representatives noted that KakaoTalk "will be used as cryptographic wallets", allowing users to run various blockchain applications, as well as send, receive and store digital assets.
KakaoTalk is the most popular messenger in South Korea, used by more than 44 million people.
Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that Kakao Corp. attracted $ 90 million investment to create a blockchain platform Klaytn.
