As Hirji wrote on Twitter, during the time he spent at Coinbase, Californian company revenues exceeded $ 1 billion, and its market valuation exceeded $ 8 billion. The company also began to support new assets and launch new products, and also entered new countries .

In turn, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong thanked Hirji for his work, noting that he learned a lot from him as a manager and leader.

In the past, President and Chief Operating Officer of TD Ameritrade, a major broker, Asiff Hirji, took over as Coinbase President in December 2017.

According to The Information , Emily Choi, who previously held the position of vice president for corporate and business development, will take his place. The publication also refers to a letter that, according to sources familiar with the situation, was sent out on the eve of the company's employees. It says, in particular, that in the next few months, Tina Bhatnagar, Vice President for Operations and Technologies at Coinbase, will leave his position.

Note that this is the second last month’s resignation in Coinbase. At the beginning of May, the chief technical director Balaji Srinivasan left his post.
