Lightning Network is a payment protocol that allows you to conduct cheap and instant transactions, which also represents a solution to the problem of bitcoin scaling.
According to the 1ML service, currently there are 9722 nodes in the Lightning Network, linking 36 554 payment channels. Network capacity exceeds 850 BTC (> $ 8.1 million).
Recall that earlier Vitalik Buterin supported the idea of integrating the Lightning Network with Ethereum .
