South Korean giant LG Electronics is presumably working to create a cryptocurrency wallet, as evidenced by the application on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The application states that the corporation registers the ThinQ Wallet trademark, which involves several usage scenarios, including a “software computer platform for the blockchain”, a “mobile electronic wallet for cryptocurrencies” and a “payment application for mobile phones”.

It is noteworthy that LG already uses the ThinQ trademark in the G7 + smartphone.

The company has been researching the capabilities of distributed registry technology since at least 2017. In particular, LG used the Corda financial platform from the R3 consortium.

Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that the LG division is developing a payment network based on the blockchain .

Also recall that, at the beginning of this year, another South Korean giant, Samsung, launched the Galaxy S10 with a built-in Blockchain KeyStore and a cryptograph.
