
The authorities of the largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg refused to satisfy the demands of hackers who broke into urban information systems and requested a ransom of 4 military-technical cooperation.

The city hall of Johannesburg said that they themselves are able to restore all the hacked systems and are not going to go to the demands of hackers.
It is reported that some systems have already been restored. In addition, authorities said they were able to determine the source of the attacks, but refused to provide details.

Recall that last week a group called Shadow Kill Hackers hacked Johannesburg’s information system and demanded a ransom in bitcoins before October 28, threatening to otherwise put pieces of data on the network.
