Mobile phone manufacturer HTC introduced a new smartphone model that promises support for full Bitcoin nodes and the Lightning Network micropayment protocol. The presentation of Exodus 1s took place on Saturday at the Lightning Conference in Berlin.
If we're going to make the leap to Bitcoin from fiat money, we're going to need a device to do that.

“Full nodes are the most important element of the stability of the Bitcoin network. We have lowered the entry barrier so that anyone can run a full node, ”said Phil Chen, director of decentralization for HTC.
When launching a full Bitcoin node, a Taiwanese company recommends connecting to a WiFi network and a power source. To store the Bitcoin transaction history, users are given the opportunity to expand the device’s memory with an SD card by 400 GB. Currently, the size of the Bitcoin blockchain is about 250 GB.
The company also promises to support the Lightning Network protocol, having launched the first smartphone sales during the conference using this protocol.
