"At the moment, there are many offers on the stock exchange and there are users who are ready to make deals in the Lightning network," Hodl Hodl representatives say.

The first Lightning trading week will be held from July 24 to July 31, 2019. During this period, exchange commissions for traders using the new technology will be reduced to 0%.

The transaction process consists of several steps:

1. A contract is created between the buyer and the seller;
2. The seller sends bitcoins from his Lightning wallet to escrow;
3. The buyer sends a payment to the seller, according to the previously agreed payment method;
4. The seller withdraws bitcoins from escrow directly to the buyer's Lightning wallet.

Lightning trading week dates:

• July 24-31, 2019
• August 21-28
• September 25 – October 2
• October 30 – November 6

Lightning Network is a payment protocol that allows for low-cost and instant transactions, also representing a solution to the problem of Bitcoin scalability. According to 1ML , 9135 nodes are currently operating in this second-tier network, interconnecting 32,516 payment channels.

Recall that in June Lightning contracts became available in the main network of P2P platform Hodl Hodl.
