format addresses
Belonging to the Winklevossam brothers, the Gemini Bitcoin Exchange added support for the native SegWit addresses of the bech32 format.
In particular, one of the users of Reddit paid attention to this:
PSA: Gemini is full on with native SegWit !!! (And uses Blockstream's block explorer ….) from Bitcoin
He also noted that the exchange uses Blockstream block browser .
It is noteworthy that in the social media channels Gemini there is no official information about this update. Nevertheless, the Twitter account of the exchange has a retweet with a link to the above post on Reddit:
Nice. @Gemini enabled Bech32 native SegWit addresses * and * use https://t.co/jTs5LBrlV8 as a block explorer! ?? https://t.co/DbG983X8MF pic.twitter.com/trFXbIIG9t

Note that according to transactionfee.info in March, the share of SegWit payments began to grow again:
Recall that at the end of last year, support for bech32-addresses was added by the Kraken exchange and the Binance-owned wallet Trust Wallet .
