FINRA licensed one of the divisions of Galaxy Digital

One of the units of the cryptocurrency merchant bank, billionaire Mike Novograts, Galaxy Digital has received an underwriter's license from the Financial Institutions Regulatory Agency (FINRA). This is reported in the press release of the company.

For example, FINRA licensed the broker-dealer division of Galaxy Digital Advisors LLC. Now it can act as a guarantor of the sale of shares, debt or other corporate securities in the United States.

Prior to this, Galaxy Digital Advisors could manage private placement of securities as a placement agent or provide merger and acquisition consultancy services.

“This permission will give us the opportunity to finance companies engaged in digital assets and the blockchain throughout their life cycle,” said the head of the unit, Jan Taylor.

The founder of the crypto-currency bank, Mike Novograz, noted that the license from FINRA contributes to the “institutionalization of the market”.

Recall, last month, Galaxy Digital began offering cryptocurrency options to its institutional clients to hedge the volatility of digital assets risks.
