ErisX launched a platform for spot trading cryptocurrency

Exchange derivatives ErisX launched a platform for spot trading cryptocurrency, according to CoinDesk .

Adjustable site users have access to pairs with Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum, traded against BTC and fiat dollar. Also, representatives of ErisX said that by now many companies have shown interest in their platform, but did not specify which ones.

The ErisX platform consists of an exchange and a clearing service, it provides the ability to securely store fiat money and cryptoactive assets.

“The spot market is, in fact, only the first component of our overall corporate strategy. This is what is planned for implementation in 2019, ” said Matt Trudeau, Director of Strategic Issues at ErisX.

Thus, the opening of spot trading is only the first step in the implementation of our plans. The company is still waiting for a license from the Commodity Exchange Trading Commission (CFTC), which will allow ErisX to launch futures based on the above cryptocurrencies.

ErisX also managed to close the third round of Series B financing on the eve, following which the company attracted $ 20 million in additional investments. In the round of financing, Arc Light Securities, Castle Island Ventures, Dragonfly Capital Partners, Flow Traders, Tradestation, NYDIG, Cboe Global Markets, CMT Digital, ConsenSys, CTC, DRW Venture Capital, ED & F Man Capital Markets, Nasdaq Ventures, Pantera Capital, Susquehanna International and Virtu Financial.

Last October, ErisX attracted investments from TD Ameritrade. Two months later, the company received $ 27.5 million from Bitmain, ConsenSys, Fidelity Investments, Nasdaq Ventures, Monex Group Inc., CTC Group Investments, Digital Currency Group, DRW Venture Capital, Pantera Capital and Valor Equity Partners.

Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that 11 million TD Ameritrade customers could access spot trading on ErisX.
