Cryptopia Bitcoin Exchange will not refund funds made after hacking

New Zealand Crypto Exchange of Cryptopia will not refund user funds made after the official announcement of the burglary.

The exchange's blog says that users who deposited funds 24 hours after the burglary was reported (January 15, 15:00 Moscow time) will not be eligible to receive appropriate compensation payments. Also, representatives of Cryptopia noted that there is not yet a deadline for payment of funds to victims of hacking users.

At the same time, the option of depositing funds is still disabled. When deposits become available again, users will need to generate new addresses for each of the coins supported by the exchange.

Recall that last week Cryptopia resumed trading in 40 cryptocurrency pairs.
